As a Forward Deployed Engineer with TransPerfect's Artificial Intelligence team, you will be directly embedded with clients, tackling their most significant challenges, swiftly prototyping AI-driven solutions, and developing production systems that yield tangible business results.
This position merges engineering, product development, and consulting. You will engage with clients to identify their needs, quickly build functional prototypes, and evolve them into fully operational applications within a matter of weeks. Your responsibilities will include writing production-ready code, crafting customized solutions, and addressing complex technical challenges. A successful Forward Deployed Engineer transitions prototypes to production, significantly influencing both revenue and our overall success with an entrepreneurial attitude.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with clients to define problems, understand limitations, and outline precise technical solutions, ensuring thorough inquiry before coding begins.
Rapidly create AI-driven prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations that demonstrate value within days.
Take ownership of the entire process from problem identification to deployment of production systems.
Write high-quality, production-level code across the complete technology stack.
Serve as the primary technical lead for client projects.
Develop tailored applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and agentic frameworks.
Coordinate cross-functionally between clients and internal product teams.
Lead technical discovery sessions with clients.
Build and implement integrations, data connectors, and custom workflows that ensure our AI platforms fit seamlessly into clients' existing systems.
Work alongside sales teams during technical discussions, demonstrations, and proof-of-value engagements.
Mentor technical teams on best practices for AI implementation, prompt engineering, and system integration.
