Role Overview: Founding Product Designer

This is a hands-on role shaping TierZero’s core user experience from the ground up. The founding product designer works directly with the CEO, CTO, engineers, and customers to design solutions that go well beyond surface visuals. Expect to influence the product’s direction and help define how engineers interact with AI-powered systems.

What You Will Do

Design workflows and dashboards for AI agents investigating incidents and solving production issues.
Turn complex system behaviors, like confidence, uncertainty, and provenance, into clear, trustworthy user experiences.
Set up guardrails and interaction patterns that make automation safe, reversible, and predictable.
Work closely with engineers to shape product decisions, defaults, and failure modes, not just visual elements.
Create high-density interfaces that help engineers act quickly under pressure.
Define how people supervise, correct, and collaborate with AI agents.
Model interactions for long-running, complex workflows that require careful handling of state, memory, and asynchronous progress.
Iterate rapidly based on feedback from real incidents and on-call experiences.
Pitch in across the company, from product direction to sales decks, onboarding, and even the occasional office snack run.

Role Overview: Founding Product Designer This is a hands-on role shaping TierZero’s core user experience from the ground up. The founding product designer works directly with the CEO, CTO, engineers, and customers to design solutions that go well beyond surface visuals. Expect to influence the product’s direction and help define how engineers interact with AI-powered systems. What You Will Do Design workflows and dashboards for AI agents investigating incidents and solving production issues. Turn complex system behaviors, like confidence, uncertainty, and provenance, into clear, trustworthy user experiences. Set up guardrails and interaction patterns that make automation safe, reversible, and predictable. Work closely with engineers to shape product decisions, defaults, and failure modes, not just visual elements. Create high-density interfaces that help engineers act quickly under pressure. Define how people supervise, correct, and collaborate with AI agents. Model interactions for long-running, complex workflows that require careful handling of state, memory, and asynchronous progress. Iterate rapidly based on feedback from real incidents and on-call experiences. The environment is high-output and detail-oriented, requiring a balance of creativity and precision. This position is based onsite in San Francisco.
