The FPGA Associate role in San Francisco is a twelve-week, salaried position designed for recent graduates from four-year universities. Associates work directly on challenging projects, often contributing to hardware and software that will be used in space. Many former associates have moved into full-time roles at Astranis. Those who have not yet graduated from a four-year university are encouraged to consider the Internship program instead.
What you will do
- Develop RTL for FPGA-targeted applications
- Work with multiple FPGAs and associated toolchains
- Interface FPGAs with peripherals such as high-speed data converters, memories, and microcontroller units (MCUs)
- Write software to interface with and test RTL in hardware
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers
Requirements
- B. S. or M. S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in hardware development and hands-on design
- Experience designing, implementing, and testing high-throughput systems on FPGAs
- Proficiency with Verilog and/or VHDL
- Familiarity with FPGA development tools and methodologies
