Mindrift, in partnership with toloka-ai, offers freelance, project-based work for experienced data scientists. This role supports technology companies as they test, evaluate, and improve AI systems. Engagements are project-specific and do not represent permanent employment.
Key responsibilities
- Create original data science challenges that mirror real-world analytical workflows in sectors like telecommunications, finance, government, e-commerce, and healthcare.
- Develop problems requiring advanced Python programming with libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Sklearn, Statsmodels, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Design computationally intensive tasks that cannot be solved manually within a reasonable timeframe.
- Build scenarios involving complex reasoning in data processing, statistical analysis, feature engineering, predictive modeling, and deriving actionable insights.
- Ensure all problems are deterministic and reproducible by avoiding stochastic elements or by setting fixed random seeds.
- Base challenges on real business use cases, including customer analytics, risk assessment, fraud detection, forecasting, optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Develop end-to-end problems that span the full data science pipeline: data ingestion, cleaning, exploratory data analysis, modeling, validation, and deployment considerations.
- Include big data processing scenarios that need scalable computational approaches.
- Validate solutions in Python using standard data science libraries and statistical methods.
- Document each problem with a clear business context and provide verified correct answers.
