About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English, detailing your proficiency in English.
Mindrift specializes in connecting experts to project-based AI roles with top technology firms, aimed at testing, assessing, and enhancing AI systems. Please note that this role is project-based and does not constitute permanent employment.
Role Overview
While each project presents distinct challenges, potential contributors may:
- Craft original computational physics problems that reflect authentic physics research workflows;
- Develop programming challenges utilizing Python (including libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy);
- Ensure problems are computationally intensive, requiring extended resolution times (days or weeks) rather than manual solutions;
- Create complex problems that demand significant reasoning across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Base problems on genuine research issues or practical applications in the field of physics;
- Validate solutions through Python, using standard physics simulation libraries;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.
Qualifications We Seek
This opportunity is ideal for physicists with Python expertise who are open to part-time, temporary projects. Applicants should ideally possess:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any equivalent programming language is also acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, including applied research or teaching;
- Experience with numerical simulation techniques;
- The ability to design problems that replicate authentic physics research scenarios;
- Creative problem-solving abilities across various physics domains;
- Strong familiarity with physics modeling and approximation strategies;
- Exceptional written English skills (C1+ level).
How the Process Works
Interested candidates should apply → Pass the qualification assessments → Participate in a project → Complete assigned tasks → Receive compensation.
Project Commitment Expectations
Tasks are anticipated to demand approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, contingent on specific project requirements. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $76 per hour, depending on their contribution level and efficiency. Compensation may vary across projects based on their scope, complexity, and expertise needed. Please be aware that different projects on the platform may have varying earning rates.
