About the Role

Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors may be tasked with:

  • Creating original computational statistics problems that emulate authentic mathematical research workflows;
  • Formulating Python programming challenges requiring solutions through libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and SymPy;
  • Ensuring tasks are computationally demanding and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes;
  • Developing problems necessitating complex reasoning in fields such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
  • Grounding problems in genuine research challenges or practical mathematical applications;
  • Validating solutions using Python and standard mathematical libraries;
  • Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct answers.
