Role overview
Freelance AI trainers will create and validate complex computational statistics problems. Assignments are modeled on authentic research workflows and require advanced reasoning in areas such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis. Problems are computationally demanding and may take days or weeks to solve. Contributors will use Python, especially libraries like Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy, to both develop and verify solutions. Clear documentation of problem statements and solutions is essential.
Requirements
- Degree in Statistics or a related field
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar tools is a plus
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (including research, teaching, or applied work)
- Strong written English skills (C1 level or above)
- Professional certifications (such as CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience with international or practical projects are valued
Project commitment
Expect to work 10–20 hours per week during active project periods. Actual hours may fluctuate based on project needs.
Compensation
Rates can reach up to $73 per hour, depending on experience, contribution level, and project complexity. Compensation may differ across projects based on their specific requirements.
