Opportunity Overview

While each project presents distinct challenges, contributors can expect to:

  • Craft innovative computational statistics problems that reflect genuine mathematical research workflows;
  • Develop tasks that necessitate Python programming solutions utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy;
  • Ensure the complexity of problems requires substantial computational resources, making manual solutions impractical within typical timeframes;
  • Formulate problems that involve intricate reasoning across domains such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
  • Base challenges on real-world research problems or applicable mathematical scenarios;
  • Validate solutions through Python, employing standard mathematical libraries;
  • Clearly articulate problem statements and deliver validated correct answers.

Qualifications We Seek

This role is ideal for statistics professionals experienced in Python, who are open to non-permanent, part-time projects. Candidates should ideally possess:

  • A degree in Statistics or related disciplines;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation, with equivalent experience in MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages being acceptable;
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, whether in applied roles, research, or teaching;
  • Strong command of written English (C1 or higher);
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience with international or applied projects will be considered advantageous.
