Mindrift serves as a bridge connecting specialists with project-oriented opportunities in AI for renowned technology companies, with a focus on the evaluation, testing, and enhancement of AI systems. This role is project-based and does not guarantee permanent employment.
Role Overview
Each project presents distinct challenges, where contributors may be tasked with:
- Formulating original computational statistics problems that mimic authentic mathematical research processes;
- Crafting Python-based problems that necessitate programming solutions (utilizing libraries like Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Ensuring that problems are computationally demanding, requiring extensive timeframes for resolution (days/weeks);
- Creating problems that necessitate complex reasoning across fields such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Grounding problem statements in real-world research challenges or practical applications in mathematics;
- Validating solutions through Python using standard mathematical libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct answers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This opportunity is well-suited for statistics experts with Python experience who are interested in flexible, non-permanent projects. Qualified candidates should possess:
- A degree in Statistics or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; experience in MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in applied, research, or educational settings;
- Strong written English skills (C1 or higher);
- Professional certifications (such as CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects will be advantageous.
Workflow
Application → Qualification Assessment → Project Onboarding → Task Completion → Compensation
Project Commitment Expectations
For this role, it is estimated that active project phases will demand approximately 10 to 20 hours of work weekly, subject to project specifications. This is an estimation and not a guaranteed workload during project activity.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $17 per hour, contingent on their experience and contribution pace. Compensation may differ across projects based on scope, complexity, and required expertise, with potential for varying earning levels across different projects on the platform.
