- Formulating problems necessitating Python programming for resolution (using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Designing computationally intensive problems that cannot be manually resolved within practical time frames (days/weeks);
- Developing problems that require complex reasoning chains in domains like number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis;
- Grounding problems in real research questions or practical applications derived from mathematical practices;
- Validating solutions utilizing Python with standard mathematical libraries;
- Providing clear documentation for problem statements along with verified correct answers.
Candidate Profile
This position is ideal for statistics experts proficient in Python who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. The ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Statistics or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, or Stata is also acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching backgrounds;
