About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English and specify your English language proficiency level.
At Mindrift, we connect skilled professionals with project-based AI opportunities for top technology firms, concentrating on the testing, assessment, and enhancement of AI systems. Please note that participation is project-based rather than permanent employment.
Opportunity Overview
Each project presents its own unique challenges, and contributors may be tasked with:
- Crafting original computational engineering problems that reflect authentic engineering workflows;
- Generating problems that necessitate Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
- Ensuring the problems are computationally demanding and involve numerical methods or iterative solutions;
- Creating problems that entail system design, optimization, and analytical processes;
- Drawing from real-world research challenges or practical applications in engineering practice;
- Validating solutions using Python along with established engineering libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing accurate verified solutions.
Qualifications We Seek
This role is ideal for engineers experienced in Python who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideally, candidates will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; knowledge of MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any domain-specific libraries will be considered equivalent;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, which may include applied, research, or teaching roles;
- An understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
- Strong written English skills (C1 level or higher);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.
How the Process Works
Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Complete tasks → Receive compensation
Project Time Expectations
During active phases, tasks are projected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, contingent on project demands. This estimate is not a guaranteed workload and pertains only while the project is active.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $69 per hour depending on their level of expertise and pace of contribution. Compensation varies across projects based on scope, complexity, and required skills. Be aware that other projects on the platform may offer different compensation levels based on their specific requirements.
