Overview of the Opportunity
Each project will have distinct tasks, and contributors may be required to:
- Design innovative engineering problems that accurately represent real engineering processes;
- Develop Python-based solutions for engineering calculations and simulations;
- Create computationally intensive problems that necessitate numerical methods or iterative problem-solving;
- Work on system design, optimization, and analysis challenges;
- Base problems on actual research issues or real-world engineering applications;
- Utilize Python with standard engineering libraries to verify solutions;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.
Qualifications We Seek
This role is ideal for engineers with Python expertise who are interested in part-time, project-based work. The most qualified candidates will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation, with familiarity in MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other domain-specific libraries being advantageous;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, which can include applied work, research, or teaching;
- A solid understanding of practical engineering constraints and methodologies;
- Strong written English communication skills (C1+ level);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are highly valued.

Project Time Expectations
For this opportunity, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, based on specific project needs. Please note that this is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $14 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution level. Compensation may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and required skills. Please note that different projects on the platform may offer varying compensation levels.
