Role overview
As a contributor, tasks vary by project. Typical responsibilities include designing computational engineering problems inspired by real-world scenarios, developing coding challenges that use Python for calculations and simulations, and ensuring tasks involve significant computation or iterative solutions. Contributors may also create challenges in system design, optimization, and analysis, and formulate problems based on current research or practical engineering needs. Verifying solutions in Python with common engineering libraries and writing clear, accurate problem statements are also key parts of the work.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Proficiency in Python for numerical work
- Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar tools is valued
- Minimum of 2 years in applied, research, or teaching roles
- Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations
- Strong written English skills at C1 level or above
- Professional certifications (such as CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and international or applied project experience are considered a plus
