Role Overview
Each project presents distinct tasks, and contributors may be involved in:
- Crafting original computational engineering challenges that replicate authentic engineering workflows;
- Formulating problems that necessitate Python programming for engineering computations and simulations;
- Ensuring challenges are computationally demanding, utilizing numerical methods or iterative solutions;
- Designing problems centered on system design, optimization, and analysis;
- Developing tasks based on actual research challenges or practical applications within the engineering domain;
- Validating solutions through Python using standard engineering libraries;
- Providing clear documentation of problem statements along with verified correct solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This opportunity is well-suited for engineers experienced in Python, interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. The ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation, with familiarity in MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar programming languages;
- Over 2 years of professional experience, whether in applied, research, or instructional roles;
- A firm grasp of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
- Strong English writing skills (C1+);
- Professional certifications (such as CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are favored.

Project Commitment
For this role, tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, contingent on project demands. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only during active project phases.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $9 per hour, based on their level of expertise and contribution pace. Compensation varies across projects based on scope, complexity, and required skills. Please note that different projects may offer varying earning levels based on their specific needs.
