Opportunity Overview:

Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors will have the opportunity to:

  • Craft original computational engineering problems that reflect real-world engineering workflows;
  • Design challenges that necessitate Python programming for solving engineering calculations and simulations;
  • Ensure tasks are computationally demanding, utilizing numerical methods or iterative solutions;
  • Develop engineering problems centered around system design, optimization, and analysis;
  • Base tasks on genuine research challenges or practical engineering applications;
  • Validate solutions using Python and recognized engineering libraries;
  • Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.

Desired Qualifications:

This role is ideal for engineers experienced in Python who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or domain-specific libraries is also acceptable;
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applicable fields such as applied, research, or teaching;
  • A solid understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
  • Excellent written English skills (C1+ proficiency);
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience with international projects are advantages.

Project Structure:
