Opportunity Overview

Each project will present distinctive challenges, and contributors may:

  • Design original computational engineering tasks that replicate authentic engineering workflows;
  • Create programming challenges that utilize Python for engineering calculations and simulations;
  • Ensure tasks are computationally demanding, requiring numerical methods or iterative solutions;
  • Develop problems related to system design, optimization, and analysis;
  • Base challenges on genuine research issues or practical applications from the engineering domain;
  • Validate solutions using Python with established engineering libraries;
  • Provide clear documentation of problem statements along with verified correct answers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This position is well-suited for engineers with Python expertise seeking part-time, non-permanent project engagements. Preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable;
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching roles;
  • A solid understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
  • Excellent written English skills (C1+ level);
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.
