As a freelance optical engineer, contribute to AI training projects by designing and validating computational physics problems. Assignments vary by project and may include:

  • Developing computational physics problems that reflect real research workflows
  • Formulating tasks requiring Python programming solutions (using Numpy, SciPy, Sympy)
  • Ensuring problems are computation-intensive and not solvable manually within days or weeks
  • Creating multi-step reasoning challenges in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
  • Basing problems on real research challenges or practical physics applications
  • Validating solutions with Python and established physics simulation libraries
  • Documenting problem statements clearly and providing verified solutions

Candidate Profile

This freelance role suits optical engineers with Python experience seeking part-time, project-based work. Ideal qualifications include:

  • Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field
  • Proficient in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar tools is a plus
