We are urgently looking for skilled freelance interpreters fluent in Punjabi (Indian) to provide services in diverse environments, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and various public and private organizations.

Please note that this is a self-employed position.
Your Role:
As an interpreter, your responsibilities will include listening to, understanding, and accurately conveying messages from the source language into the target language. Key duties involve:
- Interpreting for individuals utilizing legal, health, and local government services.
- Ensuring the non-English speakers understand after each statement.
- Engaging in conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
- Handling highly confidential information responsibly.
- Acting as a liaison between service users and providers.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Punjabi (Indian) is essential.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years.
- Formal qualifications such as:
- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
- Community Interpreting Certification
- NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration is an advantage
- Degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages
- Any other relevant interpreting qualification
