Mindrift seeks a Freelance Python Data Scraping Engineer to join the Tendem project. This part-time, remote contract is open to candidates based in Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The position focuses on advanced data extraction and scraping within a workflow that combines AI and human expertise.
As an AI Pilot on the Tendem project, the role involves technical data extraction while Tendem Agents oversee routine tasks. Work includes hands-on coding and quality checks to ensure the delivery of accurate, actionable datasets.
What you will do
- Extract structured data from complex websites, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness throughout the process.
- Work with internal tools such as Apify and OpenRouter, and use custom workflows to gather, validate, and deliver data according to project needs.
- Adjust scraping techniques for dynamic web sources, including sites with JavaScript-rendered content or changing layouts.
- Maintain high data quality by running validation checks, reviewing consistency across sources, and following formatting standards before submission.
- Scale scraping operations for large datasets using batching or parallelization, monitor for failures, and keep processes stable as site structures evolve.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or a related area.
- Proficient in Python and familiar with web scraping tools or frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable troubleshooting and adapting scraping methods for different website architectures.
Compensation
Project participants can earn up to $17 per hour, depending on contribution and efficiency. Compensation for other projects on the Mindrift platform may vary based on scope, complexity, and required skills.
