Role overview

The Freelance Quantum Research Scientist & AI Trainer works on projects at the intersection of computational physics and quantum mechanics. The core focus is designing and validating Python-based problems that reflect real research challenges. All work is conducted remotely.

What you will do

  • Design computational physics problems modeled after real research workflows
  • Create Python-based problems using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy
  • Develop complex, computationally intensive problems that may take days or weeks to solve
  • Craft advanced reasoning problems in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
  • Base problems on authentic research challenges or practical physics scenarios
  • Validate solutions using standard Python physics simulation libraries
  • Document clear problem statements and provide verified solutions

Requirements

  • Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, or SciPy is a plus
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research or teaching
  • Hands-on experience with numerical simulation methods
  • Ability to design problems that mirror real-world research processes
  • Creative approach to problem design across multiple areas of physics
  • Familiarity with modeling and approximation techniques in physics
  • Strong written English at C1 level or higher
