About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English, along with your English proficiency level.
Mindrift connects talented specialists with project-based AI opportunities at leading technology firms, focusing on enhancing, evaluating, and testing AI systems. This role is project-based and does not entail permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Participants will engage in unique tasks on each project, which may include:
- Creating original computational physics problems that replicate real research workflows;
- Developing programming challenges that utilize Python (Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Ensuring problems are computationally demanding and cannot be resolved manually in a reasonable timeframe;
- Formulating challenges that involve complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Designing problems based on actual research issues or practical physics applications;
- Validating solutions using Python and standard physics simulation libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and ensuring the provision of verified solutions.
Qualifications:
This opportunity suits quantum researchers with Python expertise who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation, with alternatives such as MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages being acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience;
- Familiarity with numerical simulation techniques;
- The capability to design problems that reflect genuine physics research workflows;
- Innovative thinking in problem design across various physics domains;
- An understanding of physics modeling and approximation methods;
- Strong written communication skills in English (C1 or higher).
Application Process:
Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Complete tasks → Receive payment
Project Commitment:
Tasks are expected to demand approximately 10–20 hours weekly during active phases, based on project scopes. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation:
Contributors can earn up to $29 per hour, contingent on their contribution level and pace. Compensation varies by project based on scope, complexity, and expertise required. Note that earnings may differ across other projects on the platform.
