About the job

We kindly ask candidates to submit their CV in English, including an indication of their English language proficiency.

Mindrift serves as a bridge connecting talented professionals with project-based AI roles for top-tier technology firms, dedicated to assessing, testing, and enhancing AI systems. Please note, participation in these projects is on a temporary basis, not permanent employment.

Opportunity Overview:

Each project presents its distinct challenges, and contributors may be involved in tasks such as:

  • Creating innovative computational physics problems that reflect authentic physics research processes;
  • Developing programming challenges that utilize Python (including libraries like Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
  • Ensuring the problems are computationally demanding and cannot be manually resolved in a short timeframe;
  • Formulating problems that necessitate complex reasoning in fields such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
  • Drawing from genuine research dilemmas or applicable scenarios in physics practice;
  • Validating solutions through Python using standard physics simulation libraries;
  • Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct answers.

Candidate Profile:

This role is ideal for quantum researchers with Python expertise who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a closely related field;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, and various domain-specific libraries is also beneficial;
  • A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience, whether in applied research, academic settings, or teaching;
  • Experience with numerical simulation techniques;
  • A knack for designing problems that emulate real-world physics research workflows;
  • Creative problem-solving abilities across various physics domains;
  • Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation strategies;
  • Strong written English skills (C1+ level).

Process Overview:

Apply → Pass qualifications → Engage in a project → Execute tasks → Receive payment.

Project Commitment:

During active phases, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, depending on project needs. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.

Compensation:

Contributors can earn up to $26 per hour based on their contribution level and pace. Compensation varies by project scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their specific requirements.
