About the job
Please submit your CV in English and indicate your level of English proficiency.
Mindrift specializes in connecting experts with project-based AI tasks for leading tech firms, focused on the testing, evaluation, and enhancement of AI systems. This is a project-based engagement, not permanent employment.
What You Will Contribute
Each project comes with its own distinctive tasks, including but not limited to:
- Crafting original computational physics problems that replicate authentic physics research workflows;
- Developing problems that require Python programming for solutions (utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy);
- Ensuring the problems are computationally demanding and cannot be solved manually within practical time constraints (days/weeks);
- Formulating problems that necessitate complex reasoning chains in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Grounding problems in real research challenges or practical applications derived from physics;
- Validating solutions using Python with established physics simulation libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is perfect for quantum researchers proficient in Python who are open to part-time, non-permanent project work. Ideally, you will possess:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation. Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any equivalent programming languages is acceptable;
- 2+ years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching settings;
- Experience with numerical simulation methodologies;
- The capacity to design problems that reflect real physics research workflows;
- Innovative thinking in problem design across various fields of physics;
- Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques;
- Strong written English skills (C1+ level).
How to Get Involved
Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Complete tasks → Get compensated
Project Time Commitment
For this project, tasks are anticipated to demand approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, depending on the project requirements. This estimate is not a guaranteed workload and applies only while the project is ongoing.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $35 per hour, contingent on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation may differ across projects based on their scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer varying earning levels based on their specific requirements.
