Role overview

This freelance research physicist position centers on designing and validating computational physics challenges to support AI training. Each project brings a new set of tasks, often requiring a mix of creativity and technical expertise. Contributors create problems that reflect authentic research workflows and require Python programming solutions.

What you will do

  • Design computational physics challenges based on real research scenarios
  • Create problems that require Python solutions, using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, or Sympy
  • Ensure tasks are computationally intensive and not easily solvable by hand
  • Develop advanced problems in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
  • Validate solutions in Python with standard simulation libraries
  • Document problem statements clearly and supply verified answers

Requirements

  • Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental, or computational) or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar tools is a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience in applied, research, or teaching roles
  • Background in numerical simulation techniques
  • Ability to design problems reflecting real-world research practices
  • Creative problem-solving across multiple areas of physics
  • Knowledge of modeling and approximation methods
  • Strong written English skills (C1 level or higher)
