Role overview
The Freelance Supply Chain Consultant - AI Trainer role focuses on using procurement and supply chain knowledge to improve AI systems. The work involves designing realistic disruption scenarios, defining expected outcomes and mitigation strategies, and evaluating AI-generated recommendations for accuracy and business value.
What you will do
- Create supply chain disruption scenarios based on real issues such as supplier delays, quantity changes, logistics challenges, and quality failures.
- Define anticipated results and effective mitigation steps for each scenario.
- Review and critique AI-generated insights, checking them against established business logic.
- Assess outputs for accuracy, completeness, and relevance within ERP systems (including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Coupa, Jaggaer, and Ariba).
- Support structured data creation and validation according to provided guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes: purchase orders, vendor management, inventory control, and production planning.
- Direct experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Ability to design and analyze supply chain disruption scenarios and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with disruption types like delays, shortages, quality issues, and logistics problems.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, logistics, and transportation management.
- Understanding of Bill of Materials structures and production planning workflows.
- Experience tracking supplier performance metrics (such as OTIF, lead times, and quality assessments).
- Analytical skills for evaluating AI outputs against business logic.
- Background in data validation, structured data entry, or annotation tasks.
- Strong written English communication skills.

Compensation
