Desired Skills and Experience• At least 5 years of experience in installation and testing, with capabilities as a Lead Tester• Preferred: Fujitsu Flashwave 9500 certification for testing and turn-up• Extensive technical knowledge of the Telcordia GR-1275 standard• Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field and excel in a fast-paced environment; must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• A proactive, customer-focused attitude that fosters integrity, empathy, and sincerity in challenging situations• Valid state driver’s license is mandatory• Completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, along with a criminal background check, is required• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Kentucky

Join our dynamic EF&I team as a Lead Field Technician IV/Tester, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality telecommunications services throughout Kentucky. This position will require you to travel across the Commonwealth, engaging with diverse customers and ensuring optimal service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute installations, turn-up, and testing of the Fujitsu Flashwave 9500 (Experience on this platform is essential)

• Travel to customer sites to provide exceptional service

• Conduct comprehensive tests across various signaling platforms, including small to medium-sized private branch exchanges (PBX), digital signals (DS-0 through DS-3), and optical carriers (OC-3) to dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM)

• Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing any escalations or concerns with professionalism and courtesy

• Lead and mentor teams of testers and technicians to meet project objectives

• Manage inventory of job-related materials and assist with inventory control as necessary

• Verify power, power up equipment, and perform acceptance checks to meet customer specifications

• Identify and troubleshoot faults to ensure customer satisfaction

• Meet project deadlines while adhering to quality standards

• Produce detailed test reports and analysis documents, redlining as required

• Work with detailed engineering drawings and rack layout diagrams

• Undertake additional related duties as assigned
