Key Responsibilities
We are actively seeking a Full Stack Developer to assist in the engineering, modernization, and maintenance of the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Integrated Defense Enterprise Acquisition System (IDEAS). This position plays a vital role in the complete lifecycle development, system integration, troubleshooting, testing, and Tier 2/3 operational support within a secure DoD environment. Candidates should possess extensive experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL, system integration, cloud environments, and contemporary agile development practices.
As a Full Stack Developer, your duties will include:
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining application components using:
- Java (JDK)
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- SQL and database-driven components
- Creating secure REST and SOAP web services.
- Building and supporting integrations with external DoD and federal systems.
- Implementing software in compliance with DoD cybersecurity, testing, and configuration standards.
- Assisting in deployment and release activities within cloud-hosted environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud).
- Collaborating within 2–6 week sprint cycles using government-provided tools (e.g., JIRA or equivalent).
- Working with Product Owners and SMEs to refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and demos.
- Providing estimates, maintaining story updates, and delivering development documentation.
- Offering Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to resolve incidents, defects, and user-reported issues.
- Conducting root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining integration flows to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
- Monitoring environments to ensure optimal performance.
