What You Will Experience
In our endeavor to design home robots, we are addressing a monumental challenge: achieving dexterous and safe mobile manipulation in unpredictable environments. Our work spans the entire robotics stack, encompassing the training of cutting-edge AI models that utilize our extensive, high-quality real-world data collection system. Moreover, we are innovating a new category of consumer hardware that will be introduced into homes, delivering substantial value to our users. As an early member of a compact, cross-functional team, your contributions will be pivotal in advancing our technology and product, pushing the boundaries of embodied AI, and ultimately helping countless customers enjoy more of their cherished moments.
As a Full Stack Robotics Software Engineer, your role will involve the complete software delivery for Sunday’s robots and their supporting systems. This dynamic position entails close collaboration with engineers across our machine learning, controls, and hardware teams to develop essential components of our software stack for both research and product development. Even if you lack prior experience in the robotics industry, your exceptional software development skills, unyielding drive, and curiosity, along with your comfort in testing code on electromechanical systems, may make you an ideal candidate.
Your Responsibilities
- Quickly produce clean, maintainable code to enhance robot capabilities and interactions.
- Create new software systems for evaluating, monitoring, and logging robot performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system-level issues on actual hardware.
- Assist in the integration, bring-up, and calibration of new sensors, actuators, and other instrumentation.
- Develop software tools to facilitate large-scale testing of real robot hardware.
- Rapidly acclimate to new engineering tasks, collaborating with teams to expedite progress.
