The Role – Full-Stack Engineer
We are seeking an enthusiastic Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. As we scale our product to serve tens of thousands of additional students and enhance partnerships with alternative education providers and employers, your contributions will be invaluable.
This position is perfect for an engineer passionate about building comprehensive features, collaborating with product and design teams, and deepening their technical expertise in a live production environment. We highly value engineers who are customer-obsessed—those who consider the user's experience and take pride in improving systems, code, and processes.
You will play a significant role across the tech stack—frontend, backend, and infrastructure—while learning from seasoned engineers within a robust DevOps culture. At Clasp, engineers are entrusted with real ownership of the systems they develop, taking features from conception to production, enhancing existing systems, and continuously honing their skills as part of a supportive, mission-driven team.
What You’ll Do
Develop, enhance, and maintain features across our application management and loan repayment platform, contributing to both frontend and backend systems.
Improve the codebase and systems by enhancing clarity, reliability, documentation, and developer experience.
Create polished, accessible user experiences for students and administrators, as well as reliable APIs for both internal and external partners.
Implement features with a strong focus on customer empathy, considering usability, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.
