ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend features for fleet management, robot operations, and customer monitoring workflows. Create dashboards and integrate services that display real-time robot status, job progress, system health, and operational metrics. Contribute to backend APIs and data flows connecting Apollo's software stack with fleet coordination services and customer enterprise systems. Implement effective data storage and retrieval strategies to support fleet telemetry, job history, and operational reporting. Collaborate with UI/UX partners to transform workflows and wireframes into polished, responsive interfaces for operators and deployment teams. Enhance software quality through comprehensive code reviews, rigorous testing, debugging, and iterative improvements based on feedback from internal users and clients. Work synergistically across software, systems, hardware, applications, and deployment teams to deliver features that perform reliably in real-world settings. SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTSProgramming: Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript, with hands-on experience in both preferred. Frontend: Familiarity with React or a similar modern frontend framework for building interactive user interfaces. Backend: Experience in developing robust backend systems and APIs.

The Interface team in Fleet Connect seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer in Austin, TX. This position centers on designing and building software and backend services that make real-time monitoring, control, and coordination of Apollo robots possible across customer locations.

Collaboration and focus

Work will involve close coordination with senior engineers, UI/UX designers, and other groups. The emphasis is on delivering reliable, user-centered software that equips customers with clear, effective tools for operating robotic systems in demanding production settings.
