Internship Overview The Environmental Test Engineer Intern program runs for twelve weeks in Fall 2026. This paid internship is open to students currently enrolled at a four-year university. Interns work on substantial projects, often handling hardware and software that will fly in space. Many past interns have transitioned to full-time roles at Astranis after their internships. What You Will Do Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software. Set up and operate environmental test equipment, including: Ambient thermal chambers Thermal Vacuum Chambers (TVAC) Vibration shaker tables EMI/EMC test equipment Develop hands-on experience with test instruments such as thermal chambers, vibration tables, data acquisition systems (DAQs), and oscilloscopes to execute test plans. Carry out environmental testing, including vibration, acoustics, thermal, thermal vacuum, and RF tests.
