The future is bright, and we are just getting started.The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Web Platform Engineer – Marketing & Performance to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time (40 hrs/week), remote position with significant long-term potential.In this role, you will take charge of the frontend architecture for Hubstaff’s marketing website, which is built using Astro, Vue 3, and Payload CMS. Your goal will be to ensure it remains performant, maintainable, and enjoyable for users.You will collaborate closely with our Engineering Manager, designers, and backend developers to enhance our design system, streamline content workflows, and deliver seamless, high-performing user experiences. We value engineers who prioritize the long-term health of code, scalability, and craftsmanship—individuals who see themselves evolving with the team for years to come.What You’ll DoOwn and enhance the frontend architecture of our Astro + Vue 3 website.Work in partnership with designers and backend developers to convert UI/UX concepts into maintainable, accessible, and responsive code.Refine and expand our integrations with Payload CMS and other self-hosted headless CMS platforms, while defining reusable content structures and dynamic components.Implement efficient, SEO-friendly static rendering strategies leveraging Astro’s hybrid rendering model.Continuously optimize website performance, focusing on metrics such as Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores, as well as implementing effective caching strategies.Maintain and support our self-hosted WordPress resources, ensuring their reliability, security, and seamless integration with our broader site ecosystem.
