In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and observability pipelines utilizing a range of cutting-edge tools. While this position is remote, preference will be given to candidates situated on the U.S. East Coast to facilitate collaboration and support.Key Responsibilities:Architect, implement, and maintain SIEM solutions focused on modern platforms such as:SplunkMicrosoft SentinelElasticGoogle SecOps / ChronicleCrowdStrike NG-SIEM / LogScalePalo Alto XSIAMSentinelOne SIEMDesign and manage log ingestion pipelines using tools like Cribl Stream, Edge, or Search (or similar).Enhance data routing, enrichment, and filtering to boost SIEM efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure teams to integrate various log sources and telemetry data.Create custom parsers, dashboards, correlation rules, and alerting mechanisms for security analytics and threat detection.Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of logging infrastructures.Provide expert guidance on log normalization, storage strategies, and data retention policies.Lead incident response investigations and support root cause analysis utilizing SIEM insights.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to strategic security monitoring initiatives.
