About the job
About Us
At SectureLabs, we are a dedicated team of over 40 technology professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality software, products, and services to our clients. If you seek a project or a team focused on software excellence, best practices, and a fantastic work environment with colleagues from whom you can learn, have fun, and collaborate closely, you have found the perfect opportunity!
Our Crew & Culture
Our team comes from diverse technological backgrounds, accustomed to working with agile methodologies and enjoying the freedom and flexibility they offer. We work remotely from various locations across the country, but we strongly foster our culture through daily stand-ups (with “ruins” included), random coffee chats, talks, training sessions, in-person events, and let’s not forget our vibrant Discord channels. In essence, at Secture, we take great care of our team, environment, and culture, and we are looking for teammates who share our values.
Your Role
First Month | Onboarding
We will sit down with you to explain the business, introduce you to the team, demonstrate our work processes, the tools we use, and provide everything you need in your first days. Our technology team will guide you through our tech stack, allow you to meet all team members, and present the context necessary for understanding the project and the environment in which you will work. You will likely join midway through a sprint, as we start each day with a relaxed daily meeting at 10 AM to briefly discuss our progress, followed by each team attending their own dailies. During this first month, both your development colleagues and our project managers will support you with everything you need for your assigned project.
We primarily communicate via Discord, document in Drive and Notion, and use meetings for gatherings. Depending on the project, we often work with Monday, Trello, and Jira.
In the Following Months
As you become more familiar with the project, the team, and the tech stack, you will begin helping to estimate tasks and developments that assist us in prioritizing the project backlog. Some sprints will involve work to optimize performance, refactor, eliminate legacy code, avoid bottlenecks, and ultimately enhance future scalability. We actively encourage our teammates to contribute ideas and share any improvements they conceive without hesitation.
