Role Overview

As a Gait Control Engineer, you will spearhead the creation of locomotion control algorithms for our cutting-edge robotic footwear platform. Your expertise will be vital in designing, implementing, and deploying resilient control and estimation algorithms that facilitate safe and intuitive human-machine interaction.

Your collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams will be essential to develop algorithms that perform reliably on embedded systems, adeptly addressing the variability in human gait and environmental conditions.

This position demands a profound understanding of human locomotion, control systems, and the intricacies of embedded algorithm implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced gait control algorithms tailored for wearable robotic systems.
  • Formulate control strategies to assist walking across diverse user speeds, terrain types, and gait phases.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize locomotion controllers on embedded hardware.

State Estimation & Sensor Fusion

  • Create real-time estimation algorithms utilizing IMU, force sensors, encoders, and other onboard sensors.
  • Implement sensor fusion techniques for accurate gait phase detection and motion analysis.
