This position combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership and client-facing consulting responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and develop scalable backend systems that integrate machine learning and Generative AI models into high-performance applications.Oversee the complete delivery of Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based systems, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows, from initial experimentation to final production.Design and implement advanced agentic AI systems that facilitate multi-step reasoning, tool invocation, memory management, and orchestration.Utilize a robust understanding of machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, and probabilistic models in your solution design and implementation.Collaborate closely with data scientists to train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy ML/AI models, ensuring their reliability and performance at scale.Manage structured and unstructured data sources, creating efficient data pipelines and storage strategies.Lead the development of backend microservices and APIs that support AI-driven applications.Guarantee the production readiness of AI systems, focusing on performance optimization, monitoring, cost management, and security.Define cloud-native deployment strategies for AI solutions on major platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.Establish deployment standards utilizing containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes in both development and production environments.Oversee data architecture, performance, and integrity across SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB.Implement monitoring and logging frameworks to ensure the reliability, observability, and operational excellence of AI systems.Lead the development of AI-powered SaaS products within the Heka.ai platforms.Tactical & Cross-Team LeadershipFunction as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for major architectural initiatives and blueprints, owning design documentation and migration plans.Maintain responsibility for triage and incident prioritization, advocating for severity and priority to stakeholders.Serve as the maintainer/owner for multiple critical repositories, tech stacks, or services.Mentor engineers formally through code reviews, pairing, and career coaching.Break down large projects into manageable epics and tasks for efficient execution.
