About the job

Oligo is pioneering a revolutionary manufacturing-in-the-loop model to fully automate spacecraft design and production on a global scale. Our innovative approach enables clients to concentrate on their unique technologies and mission goals, while we manage the entire process—from design and manufacturing to launch and operations. Utilizing advanced AI-driven generative design and automated manufacturing, our exceptional team, comprised of experts from MIT, Harvard, and NASA JPL, is committed to rapidly producing high-performance, payload-specific spacecraft in just weeks instead of months.
With renowned advisors guiding our vision and substantial backing from leading investors like Lux Capital, we are continually seeking outstanding builders, quick learners, and ambitious engineers. Regardless of whether your expertise lies in spacecraft systems, avionics, ML/AI, or advanced manufacturing, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines on real missions that will be launched, perform in orbit, and scale internationally.
At Oligo, we combine elite AI/ML talent with premier satellite engineers under one roof to redefine how space systems are constructed from the ground up. Expect a work environment characterized by creativity, agility, and a lack of bureaucracy.
If you believe you are a match for this role, we are eager to connect with you.
Role Overview
Oligo is developing an integrated infrastructure that streamlines automated spacecraft design and manufacturing. Our AI software suite, Zenith, transforms raw mission specifications into flight-ready spacecraft through a series of agentic AI systems, embedded simulations, and hardware-in-the-loop validations.
We are looking for a Software Engineer proficient in ML/AI to enhance our core algorithms for generative design, simulation-aware geometry creation, and multi-domain system optimization. You will collaborate with spacecraft engineers and flight software developers to create AI that not only simulates reality but actively designs it.
This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are eager to apply advanced AI technologies to tangible hardware projects. You will gain knowledge in spacecraft engineering, astrodynamics, and manufacturability by developing models that have a direct impact on our satellites' performance.
What You'll Do
Develop and implement vision-language models (VLMs) that convert technical documents, datasheets, and system specifications into structured entities, streamlining our design processes.
