Role Overview: Generator Technician – Indianapolis, IN

Generator Technicians at Pearce Services maintain and repair commercial generators at cell tower sites in the Indianapolis area. This role suits individuals who work independently, are proactive, and can travel as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on generators, including troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Install and replace generator components or entire systems, including out-of-season equipment updates.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and regular maintenance to keep generators ready for service.
  • Interpret blueprints and design specifications for installation or repair work.
  • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other system components, then test for proper operation.
  • Respond to power and generator alarms. On-call availability 24/7 may be required, with prompt response to assigned phone and email communications.
  • Work with attention to hazards such as electric shock, falls, falling objects, and traffic. Use safety equipment and follow established safety practices. Attend all required safety and training meetings.
