Our dedicated field data collection teams are strategically located across Europe and North America, ready to take on new challenges.Project ObjectiveThe objective of this project is to collect images of roads, significant landmarks, and public areas. The data collection will be conducted using vehicles equipped with 360-degree cameras mounted on the roof, capturing the surroundings and storing these images on onboard computers. This data will subsequently be utilized to enhance one of the world’s most popular online mapping services.Data collectors will be assigned specific routes along public streets and areas, focusing primarily on business districts and historical sites. To ensure optimal image quality, certain areas may need to be revisited due to inclement weather conditions. The project is expected to last a minimum of 8 months and will encompass various city and state regions.The ideal candidate enjoys driving, possesses a strong understanding of the local area and traffic patterns, and demonstrates a high level of responsibility and reliability.The anticipated schedule for this project is Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours if desired.

During your internship, you will collaborate closely with the eBike NVH team to enhance processes and implement data-driven solutions that contribute directly to product improvement.You will optimize and maintain robust real-time data pipelines for processing sensor data from various sources, establishing a solid foundation for informed decision-making.Ensuring the integrity and performance of the data pipeline will be your responsibility, as you efficiently manage data ingestion, validation, transformation, and storage.You will monitor pipeline performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and implement fault tolerance and automation to guarantee high availability.Finally, you will create comprehensive documentation and establish best practices for scaling and improving the pipeline under production loads.

The creation of these delicate structures is a multi-stage, complex process. While causal relationships within certain production subsystems might be implicitly understood, a clear and systematic representation of these relationships is often lacking. Our project aims to model the fundamental causal truths for known subsystems and propose and validate hypotheses for the causal truths of lesser-understood subsystems.During your master's thesis, you will acquire in-depth knowledge about causality and its distinction from correlation, establishing a strong theoretical foundation for your work.You will deeply engage with MEMS technology, specific production processes, and the complexities of MEMS manufacturing.You will identify and analyze causal relationships within known subsystems, interpreting relevant variables through literature and textbooks.Subsequently, you will develop hypotheses and models for the causal truths of these systems, presenting them explicitly, analytically, and graphically.Your hypotheses will be validated through close collaboration with Bosch's expert team as you apply your developed methodologies to unknown subsystems with more complex interrelationships.You will evaluate existing algorithms for data-driven inference of causal relationships using your self-developed models.You will meticulously prepare your findings, analyze data, and regularly present results within your workgroup.
