About the job
- Process and interpret engineering geological and geotechnical data.
- Analyze and design tunnels, shafts, caverns, and other underground structures using advanced engineering methods and software tools.
- Conduct stability assessments and designs for various types of dams, including earthfill and rockfill dams.
- Design foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, drawings, and specifications for project deliverables.
- Evaluate geotechnical risks and develop effective mitigation measures for tunneling and dam projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, hydraulic, and construction engineers.
- Conduct periodic site visits for inspections and follow-ups on ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with national and international engineering standards and regulations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the team within AFRY.
- Depending on experience and interest, participate in development work within an international team of design experts.
