Deploy, configure, and sustain GigaVUE HC-3, T-10, and HD-Series packet brokers; design TAP/SPAN architectures for full traffic visibility across classified and unclassified DIA network segments. Administer GigaVUE Fabric Manager (GFM) for policy management, traffic mapping, and tool load balancing; configure GigaSMART features including deduplication, slicing, masking, and application filtering. Integrate Gigamon outputs with DIA-operated SIEM, IDS/IPS, and full-packet analysis tools.

Role overview

GuidePoint Security is hiring a Gigamon Network Engineer to support cybersecurity operations for government clients. This position is fully onsite and requires working at secure locations in Washington, DC (JBAB/Bolling AFB), Maryland Square, Reston, VA, or Quantico, VA. An active Top Secret / SCI clearance is required, along with a willingness to take and pass a polygraph exam.

What you will do

  • Deploy, operate, and maintain the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline across DIA-managed enclaves and mission networks.
  • Provide packet-level visibility to strengthen cybersecurity operations within the intelligence community.
  • Work closely with DIA cybersecurity, network operations, and mission partners in a classified environment.
  • Facilitate threat detection and conduct anomaly analysis to support national security objectives.
  • Support expansion of the sensor grid across intelligence networks.
  • Help identify and counter advanced persistent threats and insider threats targeting national security systems.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to take and pass a polygraph exam.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite at one of the specified government locations.
