Role Summary: Act as the primary Industrial Engineering expert for radar system development and manufacturing. Design scalable production systems from initial prototype stages to full-rate production. Lead initiatives in production rate modeling, capacity planning, cost optimization, and factory flow design. Integrate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles to enhance producibility in radar product development. Measure design decisions based on metrics such as production rate, yield, labor content, capital efficiency, and throughput. Oversee manufacturing system readiness for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and Full Rate Production (FRP) transitions. Responsibilities: Production System Architecture Develop factory production models for radar subsystems and overall system integration. Design efficient production flows including: Line layout Station balancing Takt time definition Labor modeling Equipment utilization Identify production bottlenecks and constraints affecting rate. Establish a capital equipment strategy including test stations, automation, and alignment fixtures. Support plans for factory expansion and scaling.
