Qualifications
ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed physics-based models that accurately represent aircraft dynamics including aerodynamics, ground interactions, and actuator behaviors. Identify, solicit, and analyze flight tests essential for informing your modeling efforts. Execute closed-loop validations of flight control systems alongside simulated aircraft dynamics. Develop tools to visualize and analyze both simulation and flight data effectively. Validate simulation models through rigorous comparison with flight test data. Basic Success CriteriaBachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerodynamics, flight dynamics simulation, and system identification. Proficiency in Python, C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Linux-based environments. Experience in developing validated physics-based models along with their integration and testing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred CriteriaMaster's or PhD in aerospace engineering, robotics, or a related field. Experience with high-fidelity physics-based aircraft or complex simulation systems. Possession of current pilot, instrument, or commercial ratings.
