Key Objectives for the Role:
- Design and Modelling: Utilize Autodesk Inventor to develop intricate 3D models and engineering drawings for various mechanical components and systems.
- Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design prototypes and perform extensive testing to validate and enhance designs.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through design, manufacturing, and post-production support.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components in larger systems.
- Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to ongoing product improvement and innovation.
- Project Management: Take ownership of projects, collaborating with the broader business to monitor progress and development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engineering Process Management: Develop and manage engineering processes to ensure compliance with business and client requirements. This includes gathering technical advice, liaising with external companies, and reviewing technical standards to maintain quality and safety protocols.
- Providing Engineering Solutions: Produce clear engineering drawings and manufacturing information for project proposals and build requirements.
