At Swarm Aero, we are pioneering the future of aerial technology by developing the most extensive swarming UAV and a highly adaptable network of swarming aircraft globally. Our mission is to launch the first aircraft specifically designed for swarming operations, alongside advanced Command & Control software capable of mobilizing swarms of thousands of diverse autonomous assets, enabling human operators to achieve extraordinary outcomes.

Our team comprises seasoned professionals who have successfully founded and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense contracts totaling billions, and engineered over 30 innovative aircraft, drawing experience from industry giants such as Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.

Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer

As a vital member of our Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) team, you will spearhead the development of control systems for our aircraft. Your role will involve establishing processes and tools for vehicle modeling, GNC algorithm development, and you will play an essential role in testing and validating our aircraft.

What You'll Do:

  • Algorithm Design: Create and refine algorithms for flight control, payload management, and autonomy.
  • Tools & Process Development: Enhance design and analysis tools to boost workflow efficiency and ensure quality.
  • Modeling: Elevate simulation models with high-fidelity definitions to facilitate GNC development.
  • Testing & Validation: Test and validate GNC systems in simulation, subscale, ground, and full-scale flight tests.

What You've Done:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace engineering.
  • Experience in developing control systems for aircraft.
  • Proficient in using MATLAB/Simulink for algorithm development, dynamic system modeling, and performance analysis.

What Sets You Apart:

  • 7+ years of experience in aircraft development.
  • Experience in a collaborative environment, contributing to rapid development.
  • Involvement in a complete aircraft development cycle (Design - Build - Test).

Salary Range: $145,000 - $240,000+ Equity
