Role overview
The Hardware Engineer - AC Electronics will join the Berlin team to help grow Enpal's AC hardware and energy system portfolio. The position covers work on inverter-adjacent components, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and storage integration. This engineer will take responsibility for hardware systems from early concept through design, validation, and performance testing in real-world conditions.
What you will do
- Design and refine AC hardware and system architectures, with a focus on inverters and energy systems.
- Manage hardware components from concept to series production readiness.
- Define and assess testing and validation strategies to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with external development partners and suppliers.
- Coordinate technical implementation with Product, Quality, and Operations teams.
- Contribute to system-level decisions, balancing cost, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with AC hardware, inverter systems, or power electronics.
- Solid understanding of system-level engineering and technical requirements.
- Familiarity with European and German electrical standards.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and with suppliers.
- Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a strong advantage.
