Responsibilities:Take full ownership of the design, construction, and upkeep of mechanical or electrical test stands for various testing phases, including development testing, production acceptance testing, and functional and environmental qualification testing. Implement automation for repetitive tasks within the test stands. Develop, execute, and review test plans, procedures, and reports. Collaborate closely with design and flight test engineers to design, build, test, and enhance flight hardware. Basic Success Criteria:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience in hardware testing. Experience with ECAD tools like Altium or MCAD tools such as NX. Proficiency in basic software scripting using Python, C/C++, or MATLAB. Solid understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering principles. Strong enthusiasm for hands-on work, particularly in hardware integration.

As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within our Hardware Test team, a compact group of experienced engineers dedicated to ensuring all produced hardware adheres to the rigorous standards of aviation. You will serve as a vital link between design, production, and flight test teams, facing a variety of technical challenges.

Your responsibilities will include developing automated test stands to simulate extreme flight conditions for our hardware and mechanisms, which are crucial for our qualification testing. You will assist in identifying failure modes in our development hardware, contributing valuable insights to guide redesign efforts. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing the software and constructing hardware platforms necessary for command, control, and data collection systems that uphold stringent aerospace testing standards.
