About the job
Mission
At Vizzia, we design and manufacture connected hardware solutions that are deployed at scale. Our products need to perform reliably under real-world conditions.
Your primary mission is critical: Ensure the reliability of our hardware before it is deployed in the field.
You will establish structured validation processes to preemptively address potential production issues.
Fewer bugs mean fewer replacements and reduced maintenance needs.
You will serve as the bridge between ambitious design concepts and practical production realities.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed, structured test plans: Including functional coverage, edge cases, and stress testing.
Conduct validation campaigns across mechanical, electronic, and firmware layers.
Make autonomous Pass/Fail decisions: Well-documented, justified, and defensible.
Create clear, actionable test reports that highlight risks and potential failures.
Critically evaluate hardware design choices based on validation evidence—going beyond mere validation to analysis.
Collaborate closely with development and industrialization teams to ensure production readiness.
Directly contribute to achieving a defect rate of ≤ 3% across our installed base.
Ensure that no critical issues arise during production and testing phases.
Profile
Degree in Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Strong expertise across the hardware spectrum: electronics, mechanics, and firmware.
Experience with real-world hardware challenges, beyond theoretical design.
Proven skills in writing comprehensive test plans: structure, coverage, and acceptance criteria.
Self-sufficient in making Pass/Fail decisions: able to own and defend your conclusions.
Familiarity with CE/RED and IP/IK standards.
Exposure to industrialization environments.
Highly detail-oriented: documentation and validation are second nature.
Passionate about testing, validation, and developing robust systems.
⭐ Nice to have
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Familiarity with project management tools.
