Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical harness design. Proficiency in routing harnesses using CAD tools as well as physically within aircraft. Experience with connectors, backshells, EMI shielding, and cable/wire protection methods. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in defining routing and bulkhead requirements. Knowledge of performing design trades and detailed design for aerospace flight harnesses. Familiarity with NX routing and Capital Harness Designer tools.

As a Harness Engineer specializing in Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS), you will join our dynamic system integration team, reporting directly to the System Integration Engineering Manager. This critical role involves collaborating with highly skilled engineers to design, integrate, test, and operate advanced mechanical and electrical systems. You will work closely with the avionics, mechanical, integration, and production teams, engaging in hands-on design, development, assembly, and testing of harnesses, enclosures, and mounting hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define harness design specifications, including routing, component selection, and integration processes.
  • Design detailed flight and test harnesses, ensuring thorough coordination with production technicians and A&P mechanics for installation on aircraft.
  • Contribute to the installation and testing of your designs on remotely operated aircraft, playing a pivotal role in the integration of hardware systems.
