ResponsibilitiesOversee the harness manufacturing process, collaborating with the engineering team in assembling, maintaining, and operating mechanical and electrical systems. Maintain a strong focus on quality, seeking out enhancements to streamline and expedite processes. Carry out various mechanical and wiring tasks, including both repetitive and non-repetitive fabrication, final assembly of products, and field maintenance duties. Create manufacturing jigs to enhance the speed and efficiency of harness production. Interpret electrical schematics and harness drawings to complete wiring tasks, including crimping, harness assembly, switchgear wiring, and soldering SMT and through-hole components. Diagnose and rework circuit designs during development stages. Develop and implement electrical and environmental test plans for PCBAs and final products. Manage inventory for harness and PCBA assembly processes. Organize and upkeep the tools and equipment used in harness manufacturing.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Harnessing Technician to contribute to the development of next-generation defense technologies. As an integral member of Picogrid's hardware engineering team, you will play a key role in shaping our engineering culture and guiding our product roadmap.

In this role, you will focus on the PCBAs and electrical systems that power both our current hardware platforms, such as the Lander and Helios, as well as our future, yet-to-be-announced technologies. Your work will facilitate the deployment of unmanned and autonomous systems for a variety of global operations.

You will take full ownership of the wire harness manufacturing process, from initial design concepts to troubleshooting in the field, collaborating with a world-class engineering team that boasts experience from industry leaders such as SpaceX, Google, and Twitter.
